The project aimed to prepare a detailed project proposal for river training works, focusing on flood mitigation measures and bank erosion control. The objectives included analyzing geological and hydro-meteorological parameters, considering technical, social, and financial aspects, and proposing alternative flood mitigation measures based on river morphology and severity of bank erosion. The project’s outcomes included a well-structured and detailed project proposal that provided a comprehensive plan for river training works, ensuring effective flood mitigation and bank erosion control measures in the Narayani River region.
