The project’s core objective is to fortify flood risk management by deploying advanced hydrological modeling tools such as MIKE SHE and MIKE 11, alongside the river basin planning tool MIKE HYDRO BASIN. These models will facilitate a detailed analysis of surface water processes, river dynamics, and the development of strategic plans for comprehensive river basin management. The initiative also incorporates a rigorous strategic environmental and social assessment, extending its impact evaluation to the national scale. By integrating these technologies and assessments, the project aims to enhance flood resilience, optimize hydropower development, and formulate sustainable river basin plans for the entire nation.
